For the past four years, our tech Summer Camps have been more than just time away from the classroom — they’ve been a launchpad for Haiti’s next generation of innovators. Kids and teens from every corner of the country come together to dive into the world of coding, robotics, and real-world problem-solving. They sleep on mattresses, share modest meals, and embrace simplicity — but they don’t mind. They’re here to learn, build, and dream bigger. The demand has exploded. We now have a long waiting list of students who are ready to trade their summer for the chance to unlock a future in technology. Remarkably, two-thirds of our students are girls. In a country — and a world — where girls have too often been left behind, this is a powerful sign of change.

Building in a little healthy competition, we also host soccer matches that get kids out of their seats and out of their heads for a bit. These friendly games provide a welcome break from rigorous academic activities, promoting teamwork, physical well-being, and sportsmanship. It’s a chance for campers to relieve stress, connect with each other on a different level, and burn off energy in a fun, supportive environment.
Fostering a Culture of Learning
Students who participate in our summer intensives often face makeshift living arrangements, sometimes sleeping in dorm-style quarters or open-air facilities. Yet, their commitment to learning fuels a community spirit and a supportive environment. By the end of each session, participants walk away not only with newfound technical competencies but also with lifelong friendships and a more profound sense of purpose.
Through this program, we aim to cultivate a generation of Haitian youth who are equipped to tackle complex challenges, both locally and globally. Our Summer Camps light the spark that may one day lead these students to become innovators, entrepreneurs, and leaders, shaping a brighter future for Haiti.
