Robotics Program

Robotics Program

Our robotics program in Haiti is transforming the lives of young innovators and reshaping the future of education in our nation. Based in Jacmel, our initiative empowers students to explore science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) through hands-on learning, creative problem-solving, and teamwork.

Inspiring the Next Generation of Changemakers

In a country where access to resources can be scarce, our program offers the tools, mentorship, and real-world experiences students need to dream big. Beyond coding and robotics, we place a strong emphasis on leadership development and teamwork, empowering Haiti’s youth to address pressing challenges and create meaningful solutions. Through these transformative experiences, we’re equipping the next generation of changemakers—leaders who will drive innovation and build a brighter future for Haiti.

Program Spotlight: How We’re Making a Difference

Hands-On Learning

Students engage in practical, project-based activities—such as designing, building, and programming robots—that bring classroom concepts to life. By working with real-world equipment and technologies, they learn to troubleshoot hardware issues, write efficient code, and refine mechanical designs. This immersive approach builds a deeper understanding of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) principles, fostering creativity and problem-solving abilities that extend well beyond robotics itself.

Competitions on the Global Stage

Our teams proudly carry Haiti’s flag at international robotics challenges, pitting their ingenuity and perseverance against peers from around the world. Competing on a global platform not only boosts students’ technical skills, but also broadens their perspectives as they exchange ideas with diverse groups and gain exposure to cutting-edge innovations. Each event—whether in a neighboring country or on a different continent—highlights the resilience, talent, and passion of young Haitian innovators, demonstrating to the world that progress and excellence can emerge from any corner of the globe.

Leadership Development

While mastering technology is a key component of our program, we place equal emphasis on cultivating essential life skills. Students work in teams to manage projects under tight deadlines, learning effective communication, conflict resolution, and delegation in the process. They also practice critical thinking and decision-making in high-pressure environments—skills crucial for future careers and community leadership roles. By weaving these experiences into every aspect of our robotics curriculum, we ensure that graduates not only excel in STEM fields, but also have the mindset and aptitude to become agents of positive change.

Mentorship and Support

A robust support system lies at the heart of our program. Experienced mentors—ranging from seasoned engineers to community leaders—guide students through each phase of their projects, providing technical advice, motivational coaching, and real-world insights. Regular feedback sessions help participants refine their work, set new goals, and stay inspired. Additionally, we organize workshops and networking events that foster peer-to-peer learning, allowing students to share knowledge and celebrate each other’s successes. This holistic approach ensures that every participant thrives academically, socially, and professionally, laying the groundwork for a prosperous future.

Why It Matters

Haiti is a nation filled with creativity, resourcefulness, and untapped talent. We believe that STEM education is the key to transforming these qualities into tangible progress, driving the development of innovative solutions to local and global challenges. Yet, many of our students must first overcome significant barriers, from limited access to technology and educational materials to food insecurity and other everyday hardships.
Despite these obstacles, their unwavering determination and desire to make a difference shine through. Their curiosity pushes them to ask hard questions, their creativity propels them to conceive bold ideas, and their resilience allows them to persevere in the face of adversity. Witnessing this passion firsthand motivates us to provide the tools, mentorship, and support they need to thrive.
By nurturing their skills in coding, robotics, critical thinking, and collaboration, we are not merely educating them for today—we are paving the way for tomorrow’s inventors, entrepreneurs, and community leaders. In doing so, we’re contributing to a ripple effect that can elevate entire families and communities, ultimately shaping a brighter, more self-reliant future for Haiti.
